Scratch on Frame

Oh no! I managed to put an idiot mark on the frame on my Kimber Micro 380 Advocate Model. I knew I should have put a piece of tape on there but no...I rushed it, and now I have a nice scratch on the finish. Any ideas on how to fix it or maybe lessen the visual impact of the scratch? You can see it here; may have to zoom in a little bit.

Hopefully it's not a bad scratch, I can't see it even after I zoomed in but my eyes are in their 70's and I wear bifocals.

Oh yes... did the same thing to my Ultra Eclipse on the first breakdown. Made me sick. I would love to hear the magic answer too.

I think druryj is asking if there is a fix to make the scratch go away? It takes one time to learn how to prevent it from happening again

I can't see it ???
I'm sure it could be perfectly refinished in Yonkers. There are touch up "pens" available through Brownells or your LGS although an exact match is unlikely. If this is to be a carry gun though I think some wear and mars are inevitable, the bad guys won't notice it :-)

A simple solution -- try not to think about it.
Another -- Hit it with a hammer (dent will cover scratch)

If scars add character I must be quite the character
Do not worry about the scratch no one will ever see it When you post pictures just flip it over and take the photo from the good side! Not from the side you disfigured. I am very proud of Hoffy and any others for admitting they scratched one of their 1911's. It means they are humble a good quality to have! Also by you guys admitting you scratched your guns means I do not have to tell OP I put the dreaded idiot scratch on my first 1911 that being my Springfield SS Loaded model. Ah crap did not mean to say that and my white out just messes up my monitor. Oh what the hell I will see if this humility garbage really does anything for me.

Oh I know ho to prevent it; I just failed to do it right; hence, the scratch. It's there; right under the slide lock. I guess it will just have character. LOL!
