2017 No Swartz

For those that may not know. The 2017 CDP model line is not the only models to go back to Series I or no Swartz how ever you want to label it. New for 2017 will also include "Covert," "Eclipse."

Joining the already available "Master Carry," "Super Carry," "Warrior."

Total of 6 model lines Swartz "Free" zone.

I have 3 Kimbers without it and a bunch more with it, it really makes no difference to me.

Yeah, I can't get excited about Swartz vs. No Swartz. But eliminating the whole "grip safety" is a thing that would get my attention.

That would be a big no-no in my book.

I would agree. I'm accustomed to raising my palm swell off the grip safety as I holster. Maybe why I like my XD's and for that one reason alone, I personally like them.

Me too Chuck, I have both with and without and can't really notice any difference between them.

If you get rid of the grip safety it would no longer be a true 1911 in my mind. I realize the the micro's don't have it but that is acceptable in my book just one mans opinion. Put that with 2 dollars and you could get a cup of coffee.
