We've got a Cabela's in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, I haven't been out there is a while. The problem with them is they charge MSRP and because they're in Cook County there is an additional $25.00 tax on all gun sales.
Hey Chuck, they don't charge you to look and drool do they?
I inspected the Onyx at a Georgia Cabela's. I would never buy there cause there prices are right on MSRP or more. It looks good feels good, basically is the same as my Sapphire Ultra that is Black instead of Blue. The Blue on the Sapphire is holding up from firing and range trips. It is not carried every day. It is accurate and has been 100% reliable.
I guess kind of depends on your intended use. Sorry don't have a pic of the Onyx.
Chuck, if you make it to Cabellas you might as well go out a bit further to Gat's. Their inventory can be a bit spotty, but if you haven't been out there since the remodel, you might have some fun walking around. About twice the size it was.
Thanks for the heads up John, the last time I was at GAT was almost 2 years ago when I qualified for my CCL on their range.
