What exactly dose this mean for out Calif. brothers. Are you going to have to go through a background check to buy ammo now and will you be charged for it? Will this kill mail order ammo purchases? What about magazines with greater capacity then 10 rounds, is it true that you're going to have to turn them in?
Yes, background check for ammo purchase, any online orders will have to be shipped to your FFL and will be a charge. You will be able to purchase a "card" to avoid BG but card has a yearly cost. I have heard $100.00 AND ammo will have its own counter to purchase that has a camera to snap your pic.
Calif tried something not as aggressive during Swartzenegger reign and it passed but was deem unconstitutional by a Federal Judge. Same thing should occur, right?
Crazy. It's been over ten years since I bought ammo in a store. I'd still do so if they had a lot at a good price. Now, I just point and click, and ammo is on my front porch when I get home. My price point for .45 ACP is $12.50 a box, in brass.
Correct on mags, it has been that way for awhile but now I think if a mag can be removed, that gun is now illegal. Barrel break only for REGISTERED AR's. I will be at my friends gun shop today to confirm these new laws.
You will like this one too. Example: Tom and I go to the range, he has a new bad azz Kimber, I want to shoot it, wait... I can't!. Ok, well I can, I just have to fill out some paperwork, wait 10 days then I can. True story, forget what they are calling this but I will find out today.
OMG, If you folks remember a while back i was Marianne and i were thinking about moving to San Diego. Well, that craps off the table now. Think will stay in Florida and move up North a bit. What was I thinkng.
You can always move just short of Cal. Remember the ol song, "I bought ocean front property in Az."? With the new fault line running through Cal., won't be much longer now.
Montana is less populated by large. But still there is large liberal leaning cities. Luckily the state has strong laws, and even though it is mostly rural, most of the population lives in or plays outside of the cities. Montana will be one of the last states to get gun control crazy. There's always Alaska. Too cold for me though.
