Sportsman's Guide

...FREE SHIPPING this weekend :-)
I had joined SG some time ago as the selection and pricing are about the best I've seen. Even without a membership the prices are great. I've only ordered ammo from them although various other stuff is available. It looks like the other stuff is generally off brand and lower to middle of the road quality wise???
If you're looking for ammo though check them out, happy shooting :-)

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.

Is this the SG that had so many complaints about their business practices during the "alleged" ammo shortage?

May be, I read in other forums that SG really stood for 'Super Glue' in those days.

Not sure about that Rangemaster? This company ships from St Paul, MN. I've ordered from them 8 or 10 times in the past year and have had no problems. They have a "buyers club" you can get a free trial to and then after 30 days you are billed $40.00 or so unless you cancel the membership. There was some other promotional discount so with that I believe the membership wound up costing me like $10.00. I could see where that could draw some bad press from people who didn't realize they'd be billed. The savings I've seen have more than covered the fee for me. Beyond my experience I don't know much about the company? Like I mentioned they have a fairly large selection. I've found .380 and 7.62x39 ammo that I couldn't find elsewhere, the prices are about as good as it gets and it seems every other week or so they offer free shipping. I thought some of our Micro .380 owners in particular would appreciate the variety they have in stock. If you haven't check out their inventory.

What was the problem with Sportsman's Guide during the "ammo crisis"? I wasn't shooting much during that era (essentially not at all) and had a few boxes of .22LR and a box of .44mag put up and didn't pay any attention to what happened.
