GECO Ammunition Company

I have been noticing on Gunbroker postings for a GECO ammunition brand, which I believe is made by Ruan. They are a Switzerland based MFG of various small arms ammo brands, and appear to have a US MFG presence.

Looking for any experiences, insights, etc. I'm interested as folks loading 38 Super remain narrow, and companies such as Freedom do not load for it at all.

Thanks.

That's a new one on me, I never heard of GECO ammo before.

Truth be told, FM does have a menu option for 38 Super. They just never seem to have any options/products. So it may mean FM is planning something for this caliber. In the meantime, I am looking at options, which is how I ran into GECO.

I'm not sure where it's made, I presumed eastern Europe? There may be several factories in different countries?
I have shot the .380 and 9mm and was happy with both, good quality, seemingly consistent and nicely priced. I did notice they produce a good variety of .22 rimfire ammo as well.

...Sportsmans Guide seems to always have it at the best prices I've seen.

Geco dealer

Ask me what you would like to know about Geco Ammunition, and I'll try to help as best I can.

Been a Geco dealer here in Sweden for a couple of years and we sell a lot of their range, including the hunting stuff.

Geco is a brand owned by the RUAG cooperation based in Switzerland.
Other brands included, are (but ot limited to): RWS, Norma, Gyttorp, and also includes RUAG Aerospace Defence Technology, wich prety much speaks for itself.

Geco ammunition is generally very good.

Manufacturing takes place in several different locations as previously mentioned, including the former MFS plant, since it's purchase by RUAG.

Freedom Munitions now sells Geco which I've purchased several boxes of recently and it works well. It was reliable and clean, I would recommend this ammo to anyone.

Thanks all. I shoot a lot of 38 Super. The typical name brands are not terribly cost effective for range sessions, and it always a hunting expedition to find any bulk deals. GECO seems to be reasonably priced, and certainly their web site is very informative. May have to take the plunge and buy a 1000 rounds.
