Freedom Munitions

I read several post about how good Freedom Munitions was but didn't have good luck with it in my 45 Ultra Carry II. Not the first time I fired it but never had a feed problem with other brands of ammo. I tried it with a Kimber Mag and a Wilsom Combat Mag same problem.

Well that's not good. FM has been used to break in most of my Kimbers and never had an issue. My edc is an UCII 45 and we added another 147 rounds in it today which put it over the 2K mark without any issues.

Hope your next range session goes better for you.

I'm surprised to hear that, I shoot it in all my guns, .380, 9mm and .45 and have never had a problem. I've probably gone through 25,000 rounds over the past couple of years, I know I have over 6,000 sitting in my ammo locker right now.

Oh no, don't want to hear that. I ordered mostly 45 and 380 ammo from them. Yep, I hope your next range visit is better too. Seems like most people really liked the FM. Good luck.

Had a problem last Sunday myself.

Was shooting my new 2017 Kimber CDP Pro in 9mm.

Round Count stands at 250.

Using Freedom Munitions 147 Gain RN new ammo.

Last 50 Rounds of 250 (all Freedom Munitions) put through the gun.

Constant Stovepipes, Failure to Eject, Double Feeds.

Gun was pristine clean and lubed.

Range safety officer came over wanted to know what the problem was.

He stated, "It sounds like your using weak ammo. When you fire sounds like you are shooting a 22.

Loaded up some Federal HST 147 and 147 +P absolutely No problems.

Another 1,000 rounds on order. 147, 124, 115.

We'll see what happens.

I'm glad most here have had good experience with them. Mine's been otherwise unfortunately. I'll stick with Hornady Critical Defense for carry and Fiocchi for practice.

Sometimes I wonder with all their product lines if things are slipping?

Never a problem with .45, 40 S&W, or .357 Sig.

Only 9mm and the last batch purchased.

Went back and checked. Last 9mm ordered in April, for all that means...

I am a little surprised to hear of these problems with FM ammo, not doubting anyone. I've haven't had any issues in any gun I've shot with their ammo. I even bought their steel cased ammo once in 9mm and had no issues. Fortunately ammo prices are low right now so you have other options.

Just got mine this week - shot 50 rounds through my new M9 Raptor - 100% success rate - no bad feeds, no fail to fire - sounded like normal 9mm shots to me. Maybe you got a bad lot, but mine sure worked fine.
