OMG -- Today only sale at Freedom Munitions

Wowzers!
(Of course, their website was really slow when I ordered, and has now crashed!

I had already ordered (got my order #, so I'm in, I hope?!):

300 (each) 9mm remans in 115 gr and 24 gr
300 .380 (new; remans sold out?) in 100gr
100 .380 HPs
Total $155.25
Shipping is free for first time buyers, I paid ~$23-24 for this order. (I usually wait for their free shipping promos for big orders. )

(First order I placed, the '1st order break' didn't go through, emailed them and they took care of it...)

But --WHEW! Like 5 cents off a round?!?! Wowzers!

300 (each) 9mm remans in 115 gr and 24 gr

600 total.

And I just ordered 1,000 or so about a month ago... (And I have to throw $6.5k into my IRA before April!)

It would figure they have a sale now, I actually have the money to some but I'm planning on going to gun how this weekend and spending money. Do I need ammo or a new gun? hmmmmmmmmm. I guess the gun wins this time, I have ammo and they will have another sale. That and site is still having issues.

(3 x 300 = 900) + 100 = 1,000

??

So if I read this correctly, you paid $155 for 600 rounds? That is almost 26 each, right? Are they hollow points? I buy New FMJ 9mm 115 and 124 on a regular basis for around 20 give or take a penny or two. Not too long ago, Cabela's was selling 50 rounds of IMI 115gr 9mm HP's for $12.99. And then I had a coupon for $10 off for a $100 purchase. Did in-store pickup and paid no shipping; did have to pay sales tax though.

I think SnowTao has established through multiple posts that it was 1,000 rounds mixed between 9mm and .380, so around 15.5 cents/rd, assuming she got the free shipping.

For comparison, I picked up Black Friday deals at Bass Pro for Remington UMC 9mm 115gr for $50/350rds after a $30 rebate which would be 14.3 cents/rd, but the fact that I had to pay tax on the pre-rebate amount kicked it up to around 16 cents/rd. Also, it's certainly not the cleanest ammo. Haven't used FM yet, but they've got a pretty good reputation around here for being relatively clean in addition to reliable.

EDIT: I'd also mention that I had to wake up early to get there, but I was there for a $500 Kimber Micro9 deal anyhow, so it made sense to pick up a couple of buckets of the Remington while I was there.

Damn! Now we're doing algebra on KT! When does the bar open? I'm exhausted thinking about it.
