Blazer Brass 9mm

I picked up 100 rounds of 9mm Blazer Brass today at $14 a box/50 count. The box says they are made in the USA. Good enough. It also says "Not for law enforcement use". Never saw that before. FM boxes don't say anything like that. Does anybody know what determines the factor/quality for qualifying for law enforcement use?

Thanks.

Blazer Brass and Federal are made by the same company and this is what I found...

Very interesting.

Thanks for the info. The box says the ammo is designed for practice and at $14 a box retail I knew it was not premium ammo. May also mean I will have to take some extra time when cleaning the barrel to make sure I get all the copper coating cleaned out.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

I don't claim to be any ballistics expert but from my limited experience I like Federal Champion FMJ RN 380 for my Micro. It feeds well, tight groups on target and I can buy it at Wally World for a decent price. Unless I learn that it is harming my Kimber in some way, I think I will continue to use it.

I got the Blazer at a very reputable local shop here in Virginia and they said it was good range ammo. The price really got my attention plus, it was a new name to me. Getting decent ammo at an attractive price is always a good thing. I have heard from some of my fellow range enthusiasts here that the local WalMart has ammo, but honestly the few times I ever go to that store a casual walk through the sporting goods dept I have never seen any. Maybe you have to ask the guy behind the counter who seems to never be there. :-)

Blazer Brass

Been using Blazer brass, 230 gr. fmj in my 1911's as well as my wife's Springfield 9mm for around two years now and have not had any issues with it at all. In fact I have tried lots of different ammo at the range and found that the blazer shoots a lot cleaner than most range ammo. I am currently using it in my new pro carry 2. No problems there either.

I have used the 45 ammo in my pistol...no problem. It never has had a problem with any brands.

It's been a while since I last shot Blazer but I never had a problem with their .45 ammo.

I wanted to add that I picked-up a 500rd ammo can of Blazer Brass fmj rn of 9mm 115gn for my HK P30s. I got some whopping deal on it several months ago and couldn't pass it up. I have shot a 50 box of it in my HK before and it worked just fine.

FedEx just delivered 1000rds of Blazer Brass 124gr I ordered Monday. I couldn't believe it came so fast. It was $230 with free shipping from Target Sports USA. I've never had any issues with Blazer Brass ammo.
