Picked up a new Kimber EVO SP CS

Picked up a new Kimber EVO SO CS a couple of weeks ago and finally got a chance to go to the range and try it out this past Monday. I wasn't in the market for Kimber, the last one I had was a Solo and that didn't go very well. But after picking one up and Playing with it a LGS I picked one up.

I put 135 rounds throughout, 50 rounds of 115 gr FMJ Winchester white box, 50 rounds of 115 gr FMJ Fiocchi, 35 rounds of assorted JHP rounds I had laying a round. I took a glock 43X along with me for comparison and for me the Kimber was more accurate and more pleasant to shoot. The grip on the kimber is very aggressive making it easy to hold onto and the perceived recoil seemed very mild for a subcompact 9mm. One thing I can say is this gun is nothing like the Solo I had.

Glad to hear about your Evo. Folks seem to like 'em.

Don't be hatin' on the Solo, though. A prettier little gun you'll never find. They're great for when you want to look fahbulous but don't want to ruin your manicure by shooting a nasty ol' gun.

Made it back to the range this morning and put another 200 rounds through my EVO. Took a Glock 43 and a Mossberg MC1 put 50 rounds through both. The kimber is just more pleasant to shoot and more accurate for me. Got home and cleaned it up and got it ready to carry.

Thanks for the update. A couple dozen more solid EVO reports and I may convince myself to trade the Solo.

I will try and get some up tomorrow. Wanted to say that I used a micro9, six round magazine today and it worked great no issues at all.
