First experience at the range with my Kimber EVO SP (TLE)

Hey Guys and Gals!

Hello from Sacramento! So after posting my introduction I promised some feedback after my first experience at the range of my Kimber EVO SP (TLE). I started with 115 grain FMJ brass reloads. Using both magazines to send down range single deliberate shots, then double taps, and finally rapid fire. I did the same for 115 grain new MaxxTech FMJ brass and also with 124 grain new Aguila FMJ brass. Heck I even wasted some Hornady self-defense 135 grain and 147 grain. And the results.....ta-da! Cycled each and every time and slide locked back after each and every last round! I also shot with one in the chamber without a magazine and it worked as expected. All total about 150 rounds. Not a stress test amount, but I just wanted to know that this firearm does what's expected. I was having so much fun that I went back to the reloads and shot with my dominant and non-dominant hands separately. Trigger, grip, recoil...all good. I guess I'm gonna have to keep it. Hahaha!

Nice review. Glad to hear all is well out of the box.

It appears that the EVO is proving to be no Solo.

Nice! A gun that shoots as good as it looks. All is well in the universe.

Same!!

After my experience with the Solo, I thought I was done with Kimber striker-fired guns.

Well...maybe not....

Yah gotta admit though -- all their sales stuff and articles insisting that the EVO has NOTHING to do whatsoever in any way, in any part or design concept or drawing or -- heck, we even melted the metal in a different vat! -- and even the DESIGNERS were drugged into amnesia so they could not remember anything about the Solo... DOES make yah chuckle a bit?

(I guess: unless you bought one of the bad Solos...)
