Right to bear, probably should have started your own thread to get more answers, instead of attaching to this old SOLD post.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee. I'll let Micro owners take this one.

That is an interesting problem, and the first issue I have heard of any kind for the EVO.

While I agree the weapon should run with ANY quality factory ammo, they do look long. Are those 147's by chance? I think Kimber would say the EVO is optimized for 115 gr or 124 gr loads...but it sounds like when you shoot them they do run. But you should be able to clear the weapon without any issue as well.

Have you tried pulling the slide rearward fast and forcefully to mimic fast slide action of firing?

Yes to "Have you tried pulling the slide rearward fast and forcefully to mimic fast slide action of firing?"
I spent a good amount of time troubleshooting before I posted.
I'm guessing it doesn't happen on ejection when firing because all that it's clearing is the spent case which is much shorter.

For reference I moved the original post to it's own thread based on the reply from 2sharp2.
Makes sense sorry I had a brain cramp on that one!

He is Right, You Must PULL the SLIDE REARWARD FAST and All the way Back, It is the Person Not the GUN.

right_to_bear, I have two points, well maybe a few more: First I don't own a EVO. 2. they are pretty new to the market not many owners yet. So feedback on just the EVO may be limited.
Question: Does your EVO malfunction during live fire? If the answer is no, then I'm not convinced that you even have a problem.
I very rarely unload and reload without firing the loaded rounds but on the rare occasion I do, live rounds don't always clear the ejection port and this has never concerned me.
Just wondering if your making a issue out of a problem that does not really exist. I have lost track, has the extractor been adjusted by you or a smith'?
Watching to see what happens. Good luck

I shot Speer Gold Dot G2, and NO Problem, as to pulling the slide back If, you do not pull to the rear Fast and and release, that is what will happen, to slow and the Tip of the Round does Not have time to eject all the way and will Hang up. No other way it could hang up, the Round is only so long, if it was longer I could see the Hang up, also I cannot believe the Rubber Tip would have anything to do with it? G2 has Rubber Tip, all 9mm have the same size opening, one is Not Longer or shorter, 9mm is a 9mm. Just my 2%
