Most likely thinning the herd.

I have to cut back and will be thinning out the collection. Iíve got a lot of safe queens. If I have time this weekend, I will develop a list of pistols, rifles, sg, etc. IF any of you are interested, especially if you live here in TN, let me know. KT has priority.

Question before I start is:
Can you do private face to face sales if local?
Is there mandatory paperwork involved other than a receipt? etc...
Otherwise I can send them to your fav FFL....

Private sales in Tennessee are private. No paperwork required.

Now if you send the gun to an FFL in Tennessee that will be like any other regulated sale. 4473 and background check.

bhunted, I'm thinking about doing the same thing with knives.

You eluded to ethics and you care what happens to your property when sold to a third party. I'm concerned there, as well. Razor sharp polished knives in the hands of idiots?

What have you decided with your collection?

Most likely thinning the herd.

Whelp, thatís my dilemma. I donít buy junk. But I donít buy really expensive either.
Yes, Iíd rather have responsible people get my stuff. A different take on sales would be out of sight out of mind where you no longer deal with the item or person again.
All my life I was fearful of people I knew that I sold too. Thank goodness I never had a negative sale. But one reason is the fear of having bad news. I sold one of my associates a deer slayer barrel shotgun in pristine condition. First time out hunting with it, he slips on a rock and dents the barrel. Another kid that bought a rifle I sold on consignment via an lgs got caught discharging it into the air.
The cops took it from him and smashed it on a rock. *Gasp*
Drives me nuts.

So I donít play games. What I will sell will be truthfully depicted and priced fairly.
I have to print out my inventory and determine what I wonít regret letting go. Other than my house being the biggest asset, my guns are next. They are my kids so to speak and I hate selling stuff.
Iíll have a small list to start. Iíll probably have some optics too.

That's where I am. I got into Boker automatics, and I started buying them from Joyce until my "knife drawer" had no more room.

I cannot believe how good and how factory sharp they are--all for about 40 bucks. Strongest folder springs I've ever seen--or felt!

I want to sell some off and buy more Boker Copper Bowies. I like the design, the shape of the blade, and the coating to protect the knife from corrosion. I only have the one, and I like to have spares.

Others have noticed a recurring knife hijack in a lot of threads. Isn't there an entire knife section on this forum for all things knife related?

Sorry Bhunted but this felt like the right time. I would like to take this opportunity to redirect you to a few guns I have listed in the classified ads.
Don’t wait any longer. Operators are on stand by waiting for your call. Act now and I will throw in a free pair of blue blocker sunglasses. Just pay additional shipping and handling.
