Whelp, thatís my dilemma. I donít buy junk. But I donít buy really expensive either.
Yes, Iíd rather have responsible people get my stuff. A different take on sales would be out of sight out of mind where you no longer deal with the item or person again.
All my life I was fearful of people I knew that I sold too. Thank goodness I never had a negative sale. But one reason is the fear of having bad news. I sold one of my associates a deer slayer barrel shotgun in pristine condition. First time out hunting with it, he slips on a rock and dents the barrel. Another kid that bought a rifle I sold on consignment via an lgs got caught discharging it into the air.
The cops took it from him and smashed it on a rock. *Gasp*
Drives me nuts.
So I donít play games. What I will sell will be truthfully depicted and priced fairly.
I have to print out my inventory and determine what I wonít regret letting go. Other than my house being the biggest asset, my guns are next. They are my kids so to speak and I hate selling stuff.
Iíll have a small list to start. Iíll probably have some optics too.
