New to Kimber and Swartz safety.

New Kimber owner but not to 1911's. I ran across the thread about Swartz timing that is widely circulated. I did the test and found that when pushing in on the firing pin there was a bit of a catch before it would go. Thought maybe mine was on the edge of being out of time. But after thinking about it, I simply racked the slide and and pushed in on the firing pin while slowly depressing the grip safety. You could feel it unlock and then the firing pin would easily push in with no catch. So I am assuming that holding in the trigger, and racking the slide, which is not in any way normal operation was somehow causing the catch. Is my thinking flawed or is that timing test a bit bogus? Thanks for helping a Kimber newby.
