Little milling. Beveling slide bottom

Not much to see. Just a pic for the tool nuts.

That's a spiffy fixture you have there. You make it? How does clamp down on the slide?

Its the Yavapai slide jig. Slide the slide on the frame like rails and uses to bolts through the bottom. I use pieces of old feeler gauge to place between the bolt ends and internal portion of the slide to prevent any marring.

Mike - would I be correct in assuming this is just a cosmetic thing and not a performance enhancement? Curious as hell...

Yes. And no. The gun doesn't need it but I do. My grip requires some bevel to prevent the lacerations I get without it. That is slight and mimics the bevel on my Gold Combat.

I once had a SA Trophy Match which required hours of file work to prevent all the blood loss. SAs were known for there razor sharp edges.

Making an aluminum bar to drop through the muzzle end for bolt to engage to provide better clamping force and less time getting placement of feeler strips in place.
