My 2 Cents Worth!!
First off, welcome to the forum from beautiful downtown Monroe, Georgia!!!

Next, on to your question........ Please clean and lube your 9mm Sapphire per Kimber owner's manual instructions. Once that is done, check it out at the range again. If it still fails to extract and eject fired casings , try to manually cycle a round from the chamber (with the firearm pointed down range) and see if the extractor picks up the casing. Try different ammo. If it still fails to pick up the casing, have the 'smith at the range look the pistol over. If he/she can correct the issue, that's cool. Keep in mind that once a round is in the chamber, the magazine is no longer involved in the equation!! So you can actually rule out anything related to the magazine. If you are still having an issue after the cleaning and manual extraction check, it's time to call the folks at Kimber Customer Service. They will take good care of you and your errant pistol.
