Pre flight Inspection: 9mm Custom TLE/TFS

First I fired this straight from the box 100 rounds with now issue. Despite the back and forth over the years about porting a 1911, mainly in 45, I did it to see for myself. Many say the 45 is so low pressure that there is no gains but I saw gains in ported Glocks so what the hell granted this is a 9mm. Maybe some think of it as a recoil reducer like a brake on it a rifle. No. Porting does nothing for recoil but reduces muzzle rise for a flatter shooting gun for quicker follow up shots. So off it went to Mag Na Port. While there the cut the barrel and flush cut the crown. I have no need for a suppressed 1911.

A complete stripping then took place. One of the four grip screw bushings came out with the screw. Not surprised. That's why I do this. At one of the few reassembles that will be done, the bushing holes and bushings will be de-greased and bushings re-installed with red thread locker. After 24 hours I will seperate the screw from the bushing and get the grip panel off. The grips will be replaced with VZ black Frags.

Correct tool to remove bushings. Recessed slot with sleeve to support the shoulder so you don't tear out the slots.
