Kimber CDP II Refurbish Project

Hey Guys so i Uploaded this project again on my new channel, some of you may have already seen it and some of you may not have seen it. basically i closed off my previous channel because i got tired of Youtube policies on firearms, but i like making videos so i made a new channel and said screw it. so if you where following my channel before Thank You and i will Drop a link to my channel below again if youd like to follow me again, and if your new subscribe to the channel there will be alot of new interesting things i will be posting. anyhow this mini series that i will be uploading i am refurbishing a Kimber CDP II that my buddy had and due to poor care the frame and barrel got corroded so i decided to help him out and restore his Kimber. I uploaded part 1 and working on uploading the rest of the project so stay tuned. and again thanks for the support.

Kimber CDP II Refurbish Project

Thanks for sharing. Thought my sweat was bad. Iíve been known to rot stainless steel watches off my wrist.

That guy ever clean/lube it? That is some bad stuff going on...

Nice video, I used to use a hollow ground screwdriver to remove/install bushings but found the magna-tip bushing driver bit to work much better. I have drivers for both the standard and slim bushings.

Thanks brother, yeah there are some good tips out there that work better than others. its like that old say'n the right tool for the job.

Thanks, I'll be watching for all your videos on this. My EDC is a Pro CDP II and I've experienced the same sweat corrosion on my frame so I will also eventually have to have this same restoration. 👍

I have the same problem with watches and have to get the rubber/plastic bands and watch surroundings to keep from eating them up.

I also have the same problem with my EDC and yes, I constantly clean and lube it to keep it from being worse than it is. I guess I'm a real sweat hog.

Doesn't help that I live in the Central Valley of California and as of this post we are in the middle of a record-setting stretch of consecutive triple-digit days! 😓

And mine is limited to the finish, the aluminum is still unpitted... so far.
