Firing pin spring

I have this Ultra Carry II in 45, I want to change out the firing pin spring but Kimber only offers 1, sku#4100070. Question is are all these firing pins and springs the same. I understand 70 and 80 series differences but are compact pistol firing pins the same length as a GI model? Second, do firing pin springs come in different weights. Thanks

The only thing I can think of right off is there is a difference between firing pin springs if you have a steel or titanium firing pin. I usually buy the kit that includes both firing pin spring and main recoil spring at the same time. Note too ... it really takes a lot of rounds to really wear out a firing pin spring ... thousands.

Kimber recommends changing the firing pin spring at 5,000 rounds. The Ultra, Pro and Custom all use the same spring, the models with the firing pin safety (II) and the models without it all use the same spring.
2sharp2 and cousinmark like this.
