Durable finish for triggers

I bought some Caspian k hole flat triggers for my kimber 5 inch firearms. I prefer flat trigger as it gives me the latitude to put the trigger exactly where I want it. (Personal preference) Leaving it highly polished I get a 4 pound trigger pull. If I I try to color match my firearm by painting the trigger black the trigger binds. I'm only using light coats but that makes no_ difference. Is there a product out there that is more robust for the trigger without some sort of sticker shock.
