Exactly Phil. It makes no difference if it is new or used, the buyer, for whatever reason did not do his due diligence and inspect or ask for assistance in inspecting the firearm before purchase.
I was thinking about Savroof's post from this morning. If I understand it correctly, he had "two" chances to inspect this pistol before legally taking possession of said pistol. He lives in Georgia, he drove to Florida to buy pistol. His account implies he left bad gun store with pistol in his possession? Not how it works to my knowledge. He could have inspected it at the Florida gun shop, paid for then they would ship to the FFL of his choice in Georgia where he could have inspected the pistol for the second time before his FFL fills out paperwork and transfer's the pistol to Savroof.
That's 2 missed inspections in my count.
