Wilson Combat Bushing Wrench

When I purchased my full size Raptor SS it was the first 1911 that I bought that had a barrel bushing. A few members recommended using a plastic wrench so I wouldn't leave any scratch marks. I ordered this Wilson Combat one.

I didn't know at the time what type came with the gun and ordered this one. It did come with a plastic wrench and it had a lot of flex but worked. I received the WC wrench and it's a lot better. Very little flex. Found it on eBay for $6+. It's a good tool if anyone needs one.

I have the exact same wrench, same color, and I bought it more than 20 years ago. I thought it was a Dillon product because it's the exact blue color they use on their products.

I just checked mine out and it's marked "Springfield Armory."

It is stiffer than heck.

I have a very used Brownell wrench, over 20 years old. I have others, but the Brownell just seems to be always atop the junk in the gun toolbox.

Talking Retired Wrench!

Ever since I trade in my Custom Stainless II for a Pro Carry II, which I have equipped with a Wilson Combat flat wire recoil spring kit, my bushing wrench is like me......RETIRED!! I have done more work in the last three years than it has!!

I'll probably use it on my son's Raptor II after I drag it to the range to make sure that it still works properly!! Can't let such a pretty gun lay around idle in my safe!!! It might forget how to shoot!!!!
