Suggestions for a checkered front strap?

After handling my nephew's TLE, I want checkering on the front strap of my Custom II.

I spotted an add-on version from Wilson Combat for $9.99. Any good reason not to try them?

I don't know of anyone that's ever use one but for $9.99 I'd say go for it. Of course we're going to need an after action report with pictures if you do it.

Will do. For what's it's worth, they're getting good reviews on the WC sight.

I put some of this on the from strap of my Custom. Made a world of difference. Unfortunately the roll is enough to do 50 guns. It works really well to enhance the grip on the Custom.

So I had to go over to Wilson Combat and check it out, I think it's going to look good and work fine.

As long as in no way it will affect your original finish, why not.

Looks a 100% better than hardware store grit tape.

Remember only fits "Full Size"/ " Government Size Frames.

Looks like it just sits over the frame and is held on by the grips. I wonder if it runs the full length?

Now I'm worried about the original finish too. Maybe I could put a layer of blue painter's tape on first?
