"shined" my ramps

I was cleaning my Micro a few weeks ago and got to thinking I'd like to do better on the feed ramp? I thought about plugging in the multi tool and setting it up with the cotton buffer tip but the fact that the rotation would wind up being horizontal to the feed ramp put me off to that idea. It occurred to me that a $3.00 foam core nail file I picked up at CVS had one side with two grits, smooth and shine. By folding it in half I wound up with a curved surface that pretty much perfectly matched the contour of the ramp. The "shine" side that I used is I'm guessing in the 2000-2500 grit range, it's for shining fingernails that have been painted I think? A minute or two of gently rubbing and the ramp had an almost mirror quality. Looking at the file after it had a blackish tinge to the area that contacted the ramp but does not seem to have actually removed any metal? Came out so nice I did my PRO CDP as well and both guns ran 100% after being "shined"

I hope you did not ruin the nail file . Hope you still will be able to polish your nails.

We need to see this elusive "foam core nail file" since manly men aren't acquainted with such things and a picture of the polished ramps wouldn't hurt either.

You could have a picture of you pointing to the polished ramps with your finger and a polished nail!

Hey Cuz, let me get this right. You were going to polish your micro? then plug in your multi tool with a cotton buffer but the rotation was wrong. so, you got a foam core nail file that you folded in half that perfectly fit your contour. After a minute or two of gently rubbing your ramp, it shined like a mirror. Is that about it?
I'm sorry, had to take the shot. sounds inappropriate though

...here ya go

Here's a few pics, the other side (the one I use on my nails) of the file was worn out so it was headed for the trash can anyways. It works way better than the file on your nail clipper :-)
