Used Kimber Super Match II

Tell me about the Super Match II. What other 1911's is it usually compared to ? Are frame and slide are forged or cast?
What would I expect to pay in todays market for a used one in VERY GOOD +/ Excellent condition ?

Thanks.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee!

Really not sure what a SM would compare to, maybe Colt Gold Cup or National Match.

Super Match to my knowledge the only Kimber that comes with a accuracy guarantee 5 rounds at 25 yards 1 inch group or less. Stainless steel frame, stainless steel slide, adjustable rear sight, 8 round magazine, weighs 39 oz. empty. MSRP $2,613.00.
Value of a used SM who knows. I would guess any where in the $1,600-$1,800 would be expected, of course the lower the better.
Fine looking pistol and that's all I know.

KMD net net cost on SM II was 61% in 2015.
PSA offered it several times last year at a 30% discount while accepting CC's.
2016 pricing 'may' reflect 8-9% msrp reduction later this year for 2017, if it remains in production.

With that said, SM II's are slow seller new or used. Published 'used values' are highly overstated.

Bought a LNIB/95% 2005 model last year with 2015 sights from KMD for $900. I was unable to trade it for a interesting Series I.
Lost a few bucks and learns a few Kimber lessons.
