Kimber Ultra - recommendations - extra magazines

Having such a great time at the range with my new 9 mm Ultra Aegis II. It's now time to consider additional magazines.

Called Kimber today and unfortunately the magazine for my pistol is currently out-of-stock. The kind lady I spoke with took my info and promises to give me a call when the magazines are back in stock.

In the meantime, any suggestions from forum as to which other magazines I should consider for my Ultra? Thank you.

For range sessions I use joesmagmania on ebay a lot of us use his magazines, the more you buy the better the per unit price. I have .45 and 9mm full size and compact and not had a problem with any of them.

For spare EDC magazines I use Kimber Tac Pro.

Remember you need "Compact size" for the Ultra.

I usually buy his 5-pack, I added blue pads to all my 9mm magazines to help keep them separate. I think the last pack I bought was around $78.00.

Thanks for posting the links Marshall, I knew either you or Chuck would help me out.

OK, prices have gone up a little but still very good product and a good price.

I'm another big fan of Joes1911magmania, I probably have 20+. Rumor has it that he buys directly from Check-Mate Industries, his magazines are new, not factory seconds and he's located 4.5 miles from the factory.

I bought Chip McCormicks 7rds for about $23 ea from Midway last month for my .45 Ultra. They work great so far.

When I bought my Sapphire Ultra 2, Kimber was out of stock on mags then too. After searching the internet I found what I needed at Kentucky Gun Co. & they were Kimber mags not another brand.

I ordered from Joe's for my 9mm Ultra and I think 5 magazines were about $90. I was very impressed with the quality, I thought for the price they would be a little cheap but I was wrong. That's who I'm going to in the future.
