Kimber out of the box accuracy

I was unable to post both of these shots initially due to connection issues, but I have taken the two separate pics of the first two shots with my Royal II and put them together, making sure the size of both pics was equal. You can see the pic on the left is marked 1 and 2 is on the right. So, right out of the box (with the exception of cleaning and oiling) I was able to put two shots so close to each other they were touching and as I have said, I am just a beginner and by no means a good shot. To me, this shows that my Kimber Royal II is pretty darn accurate right out of the box. And that the Kimber reputation for accuracy is real, not marketing or fanboy fantasy crap.

I would love to hand my two Kimbers to a marksman and say "show me what they can do."

From the looks of the targets, a marksman would do the same thing you did.

Excellent shooting. Distance?

I'm not sure I could put two shots together like that at 5 yards, though accidents do happen. but to do it twice on separate targets ... outstanding.

You're just a bit high and left.

But that looks pretty good to me!

Kimbers are designed to hit the "X" right out of the box.

You may want to call customer service and get a RMA and see if they can get that fixed for you....

Finger replacement?

I can't believe y'all have the nerve to rag on Porsche about 1/2" off the X

Or maybe I need to get a sense of humor.

Well, that was only two shots. This is what that target became, which is nothing special....and this is at 7 yards, not 50. Invariably I'll get a little impatient, or tired or I'll anticipate the kick and then jerk or whatever, but once I shoot a couple of bad ones I tend to finish out poorly.

But that doesn't change what I think of the accuracy based on the first shots where I'm pretty focused. I just believe that both my Kimbers are capable of doing much more than what I can get them to do.

Haha. Yeah, I'm about a half inch off, but that's about as good as it gets for me. When I take out that x on the first shot, you'll see the pic. Guaran-damn-tee it!
