UC II Sights

Can someone please tell me a good set of replacement sights for the UC II? Only complaint I have is the black sights that came with the gun. Not interested in night sights, just the white dot fixed sight set. Kind of on a budget since I've bought two UC II's and the 22 conversion kit.

Thanks,
CB

I'd try painting the sights you have now before replacing them. I have a friend that has used GLOW-ON with great results.

I did paint the top half of the front sights with white craft paint. It's ok but I'd prefer something a little nicer than that.

I went ahead and purchased three of the 0.18 front sights directly from Kimber. I plan on placing them on all three slides, 9mm, 45ACP, and Compact 22 conversion.

I just completed the rear sight upgrade on my UC II 9mm with a factory Kimber Slant non-adjustable two dot sight. It was very easy so I will be upgrading the UC II 45 and 22 conversion as well. I picked up the sight from Ebay for $37.00 and free shipping. Three white dot front sights should arrive today.

Looks like I'm talking to my self on this subject. LOL!

I have now completed the replacement of the front sights on the UC II 9, 45, and 22 slides. It was easy and much less expensive than taking it to a gunsmith.

Don't you just love a fun DYI project?

CB236,
I with you on wanting something more than just black sights. I don't have to have night sights but my eyes don't pick up the black sights as well as they do white dots.

I had thought about getting a stainless UC II in 9mm but held off due to the black sights. Thanks for this thread. Now I might get one.

I've not investigated this next question at all, but how hard was it to change out the rear sights? I know you said the front sights were easy.

I think our lack of response is not due to lack of interest but a large number of the many models of Kimber pistols already come with dot night sights. I know all my pistols, except two came with night sights or night sights with laser grip. One is RCP Ultra it has trench sights, the other is 9mm Stainless Ultra Carry that I bought used off Gunbroker for $620.00, previous owner had changed the front sight to glow green with standard black rear sight. After several range sessions I am leaving it as is, for now, future plans will see it getting a laser grip but sights will remain the same.
Glad you DIY project is working out.

I looked around at a bunch of different sights that had inexpensive sights and found Truglo sights on eBay for less than $50 for a set. Some were fiber optic and some were night sight that you didn't want. I think when most of us upgrade we go to night sights and all 3 of my Kimber's came with night sights.
