10mm help!

I am new to Kimber, and I am extremely interested in the 10mm caliber. I have seen so many different kinds from this company and I need a little help, insight, advice on the best one to get. I can either order it or of you all have another suggestion give em up !

I have a double eagle 10mm by colt and I love it. I just want to broaden my spectrum a bit.

Thank you
Katie

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Katie, I don't have a 10mm but I do own a couple of Kimbers and think they're some of the finest guns you can get for the money. Other then the options that Kimber builds into the various models quality wise I'd rate them all the same. Why don't you swing by our "New Member Introduction" sub form and introduce yourself to the membership. We have a couple of very active ladies here that you will probably be hearing from.

Welcome to the forum Katie! No experience with 10mm, but the Kimber brand makes beautiful, top quality guns.

I have no experience with 10mm up to this point. However, I have plans on getting a 10mm upper for my AR rifle! I think that should make a dandy short range hunting/self defense rifle!! Mostly just 'cause I want it!! As for a 10mm in a Kimber 1911, I have but one response..........Oh Hell Yeah!!

My first introduction to the 10mm was at an indoor range with a guy who had a Wilson Combat in 10mm. I loved how it shot and when Kimber introduced the 10mm Target model, I bought it and have really enjoyed shooting it. It is accurate and reliable with my reloads. I did have to replace the extractor when the tip broke after about 1,000 rounds. I put a Caspian Arms extractor (billet steel, not mim) in and have not had any other problems. You can't go wrong with a 10mm. Plus, the Kimber has a supported chamber, so an additional safety margin if you happen to enjoy shooting warm reloads (not me!) over a Colt.
