been shooting for more than 50 years, have owned a few 1911's in my time. mostly old GI guns,, I have always been to much of a cheapskate to look at the higher dollar guns. and have really spent most of my time acquiring classic revolvers
but I picked up my first 1911 in a long time today when I traded for this LNIB stainless ultra raptor
I got it with two Kimber mags, plastic case with all the paperwork and some decent elephant hide leather.
this is the first one of the small 1911's I have ever really picked up and I fell in love with the feel of it in my hands.
swung over by the farm and shot it 5 times at one of the 3" flappers in my ar500 rifle target , shooting off hand at 20 yds. hit it 3 times and the other two just off the edge.
would have shot it more but I did not have hearing protection with me and my ears are still ringing. (little suckers loud)
so I am looking forward to gaining some knowledge from the Kimber gurus
