Kimber Rimfire Super???

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of purchasing a Rimfire Super for .22 lr steel plate. First time I saw it I thought it was the nicest lookin' .22 evurrr...

I joined this forum to maybe learn a little more about the pistol. But I can't find a single thread or post about this pistol... ( maybe my search skills are fading...)

I don't have the pistol yet, but do have some pics already...

So... Any other Rimfire Super owners here?

I don't think it's your search skills that are the problem, I don't believe I've ever seen any member post that they own one. Most like myself prefer to get the Kimber .22 conversion kit that replaces the slide on our 1911's.

Yes, I was afraid of that...
I live in the Netherlands and I will purchase this pistol from a sportshooter in Belgium. So I haven't even touched this pistol yet... I know it's gonna be light... Very light... I know it's finicky ( is that a word?) about ammo...
So I have some doubts about this purchase... But hey, at least it will be nice to look at!

Can you imagine that I can actually buy/order this gun at a gun shop here in the Netherlands... It will take three years for it to get delivered and it costs Ä1.500,- which is what...$ 2,000.-

So I'm excited, anxious, and a little bit in doubt...

My target conversion from Kimber has not been too picky with ammo. Federal bull pack runs fine. High velocity will surely run it.

That is a sweet looking pistol. I can't imagine waiting 3 years for a gun!! I feel tortured waiting a week after I order one online!

How long ago did you order it? Do you have an expected arrival date yet?

Oh no, Chikadee, I'm buying it second hand from another sport shooter.

If I order it new at a gun shop here in Holland I have to wait 3 years, which is rediculous...

I have trained and trained with some police officers from Holland. Guns and dogs. You all rule when it comes to making great dogs. KNPV and all! Are you involved in the dog sports there?

I hear some terrible stories about what goes on there with the huge influx of Muslim types there. Are you all making progress in getting your country back?

Nice looking gun! Three years? What makes it take so long?

Never seen one in person! Nice looking pistol. Wonder why it needs that big "beaver tail" on the grip of a .22lr?

That's Kimbers standard grip safety. If you shoot high grip you can still get slide or hammer bite without it.
