Pro TLE 2 Kydex paddle holster options?

Ok, I'm already making negative waves with my friends that carry 1911's...

I open carry, and have always loved the weight distribution and feel of a good paddle holster. So, naturally I'd like one for my Kimber. Kydex/polymer is another preference of mine.

Well, apparently that's unacceptable...and I should be looking for an ostrich belt holster to really do my weapon justice. Ummm, no.

That all being said, can you guys point me in the right direction for my preference?

I just joined the Kimber/1911 family with a Pro TLE 2.

Thank you!!!!!

Hey Ya'll!!!

First off why not slide over to the introduction sub-forum and officially introduce yourself to the troops. While on that subject; welcome to the forum from beautiful downtown Monroe, Georgia!!!

How about some pictures of your TLE and a range report? We like that kind of stuff!! As for holsters, that is a seriously personal subject. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to that department. I have a large box in the corner of my closet that contains several dozen holsters that I have tried and they wound up not meeting with my expectations after a short period using them. I have leather, nylon and kydex, IWB, OWB, shoulder holsters, strong side, small of back and cross draw.

While I like the convenience of a paddle (leather or kydex) for those times when you must remove you pistol, I have never found one that I was totally happy with. I still use a Fobus periodically for my Kimber Pro Carry II and my Smith and Wesson M&P40 FS. For the most part, I am a "leather kind of guy". At present, I am the most satisfied with a Blackhawk Model 28 Askins Compact Concealed Carry for my M&P40 Shield and a Bianchi Model 57 Remedy holster for my Pro Carry II and my M&P40 FS.

Since you are fond of the "poodle" holsters; my picks would be either the Fobus or the Blackhawk. YMMV!! It's up to you!!!

First, welcome to the forum from Ohio. I've got an Uncle Mikes kydex paddle holster that seems to work well. As lineman so colorfully said, I've got a big box full of "perfect" holsters too. Good luck in your search!

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Diver_dylan, I wish I could suggest a holster for you but I either pocket carry or use IWB holsters.

Cool Cool!!!

Nice looking pistol. As long as you are happy with the holster you purchased, everything is good. If you end up satisfied with the first holster that you picked out, that will be a miracle!!! I should be so lucky!!!

Enjoy your new TLE Pro and shoot safely!!!

If you must go kydex Comptac or Bladetech or Sidearmor are my recommendations. But the most comfortable paddle I have ever used is the Safariland.

Thanks! But I've fitted it with a Blackhawk, and couldn't be happier!

We'll see after some range time and a few drill.
