Curious with any experiences with these Kimbers

Anyone own a Desert Warrior and/or Custom Covert 2? Would like to hear your experiences. These would be a winter carry for me and will be in a OWB holster. Just wanted to know what your feedback on these guns. I have an AR15 that is in flat dark earth and would love a 1911 to match that motif.

If you have any other suggestions I am open to it as well.

Thanks!

They're both Kimbers. Enough said!

I read on the internet that they suck. Furthermore, I heard on TV that all guns are inherently dangerous. Therefore, I strongly suggest you send one or both of these to me for safe keeping. I wouldn't want you to be injured by one of these faulty death machines. I have a safe place to lock them away, so no one will accidentally get hurt.

I agree! I've even heard of instances where they have caused serious injury or even death all by themselves! Very dangerous to have in your house. I also have room in my safe if anyone would like to dispose of them.

Mike240,

out of curiousity why would you choose the warrior over the covert? I do not know much about these models unfortunately.

First I don't own either pistol. I am sure both are fine guns. You may want to rethink both of these pistols for EDC. They have some differences. Looks Desert Warrior is all Dark Earth, Custom Covert is two tone Dark Earth & Black. Both have Tactical Wedge Night sights, Covert also has Crimson Trace grips. Here is the (to me) important things. Desert Warrior has a "Rail" and weighs 39oz empty. Not sure but choice of holsters are probably limited due to the rail. You said you wanted to carry OWB? Covert is 31oz empty and has NO rail, comes with two sighting choices.
If I had to pick one of these two pistols to carry concealed everyday, 100% I would buy the Custom Covert, why? Because it is a little lighter, does not have a rail, comes with Crimson Trace grips. Hope this helps you with your decision.
I didn't know much about either of those two models either so I checked them out on the Kimber website. Your results may vary!

His pick of the Warrior would be interesting.

I am new to carrying on an everyday bases so no expert here but I do own the warrior and some other full size kimbers, my day to day choice to carry is my raptor ultra or cover ultra, I haven't tried to carry my warrior but I have my stainless II, close to same weight as warrior, and it was like carrying a brick on my belt lol, plus I haven't found a holster to fit my warrior yet either, not sure I even want one after seeing how heavy they are to carry, but I would like to add after finding a man close to me that makes custom holsters and truly knows his trade, he has made my ultra guns feel lighter with his new holsters and belts the angle , the balance and other things I don't understand but trusted him with, makes a huge different , I am done with store holsters, , I do love shooting my warrior the most but I don't think it will ever be my day to day carry,. Just do like I did and try and buy them all lol. I have 7 kimbers now and still looking lol, have a great weekend

Zoomybaby, that's exactly what I thought it would be like. I don't own a full size Kimber but I do have two full size Colt's and would expect the weight to be close.
