Wilson combat recoil spring kit

I getting close to the time to replace my recoil spring in my pro carry 2.
Has any tried the Wilson combat replacement kit that eliminates the pin and makes field stripping easy. Thanks

Yes.I changed to the WC 651 kit before I ever shot my CCP II. Definitely worth every penny. So much smoother than stock parts. Very easy and fast to take down. Best thing I have done to my Kimber.

They make that for Ultras? Takedown on that sux. I use that 3rd party plastic takedown insert. Makes it much easier.

I've been using the Wilson Flat Wire spring kit in 2 of my pro size Kimbers for over a year and can highly recommend them. Unfortunately they don't make a kit for the ultra size guns.

Wilson generally doesn't want anything to do with 3" guns. They won't even do work on them.
I run the flat wire in my 5" TLE now, working very nice. But so was the coil that came with it up to 2800 rounds.

Is this the set-up you're using? Flat-Wire Recoil Spring Kit | Compact | .38 Super-Wilson Combat

Wink Me Too!

After disassembling my Pro Carry II twice with the cute little take down tool, I decided that I did not like playing that game. I ordered the Wilson Combat #651 flat wire recoil spring kit and have never looked back. If anyone needs a stock spring, I got one that I ain't usin'!!!

This modification is well worth every penny you pay for it, just in the grief it does away with, at disassembly time!

I have never had one problem with the little "L" tool and can have my Kimbers apart in 5 minutes..
Maybe if I seen one in person it may persuade me to spend the money, but until then...
I will do as Kimber designed it to be...
P.S.
I did put an idiot scratch on GiGi's Ultra the first time I took it apart...
