why is my CDP still jambing?

still having trouble with my CDP11 jamming. I have shot around 800-1000 rounds. Using Wilson Combat mags. Is anyone else having trouble with these mags?

First welcome to the forum. If you have followed the break in procedures in your owners manual, and are still having problems, it's time to call Kimber. Their customer service is top notch and they will take care of you.

Welcome! I put the first 100 rounds through my CDP last week. (I have the Custom CDP II). I used the Kimber factory 8 round magazines (with skirted followers) and Winchester 230 grain FMJ that comes in a 100 pack. I had no issues. I cleaned the gun really well with Ballistol and made sure it was lubricated.

I agree with Islander-- call customer service.

was hoping it was a "after market" mag issue. Wishful thinking. Odd, it will go smooth for 3-4 mags through, then, sometimes wont close the slide at all, others it closes but does not allow me to pull trigger. Using WWB ammo, along with HP. Getting expensive thinking that im still breaking it in.

You might read some sticky threads in the gunsmith section. Till you can describe at what point in the 8 steps of operation it is hard to help. I have my own suspicions and it is not quality aftermarket mags.

When you say the slide is closed but the trigger won't function I question if it is fully closed and in lock up or not. If it is and the hammer will not fall is the grip safety fully depressed? Is there a timing issue with the swartz safety? Those threads may help. The more educated you are the better you can provide a written explaination to the warranty department. I would write it up thoroughly and provide photos of the stoppages that exist. I have no patience for break in periods and prefer to check and address fitment issues first rather than waste ammo and get frustrated.

You should try switching ammo . That would be a quick inexpensive and enlightening test . I think you are Good to go on Wilson Mags I have read that WWB is not good for Kimbe. With the trigger issue the slide may not be going fully into battery. Good luck shoot safe Let us know!
