600 Round Day

Well just had a 600 round day.

Both the Children are officially Broken-In with 500 rounds each.

Interesting observation:

The Kimber Super Carry Pro HD; has suffered 4 FTF during its break-in period.
Rounds 1-400. (Before Frog Lube)

Treated both with Frog Lube last week.

The Super Carry Pro was cleaned and treated with Frog Lube before ever shooting a single round.

Not 1 FTF or FTE with either gun after treatment with Frog Lube.
Time will tell.
But so far.
I'm sold on this product.

Each gun is identical with the exception the composition of the frames.

I.M.H.O. the Super Carry Pro HD is the better shooter of the two.

To me the added weight equals better recoil management, allowing quicker acquisition for the follow-ups shots.

Not a huge difference, but noticeable.

Both are sweet shooters.

But if I could only have one it would be the Super Carry Pro HD.

Sounds like a great day at the range!

I was going to try Frog Lube based on a buddy's recommendation. But I found a store near me that sells Ballistol. I gave it a try and will keep using it unless I have issues. My buddy swears by the Frog Lube System

The super carry models are great. I am not having any problems but everyone sure seems sold on frog lube. I may have to try it.

I'm impressed, 600 rounds in one day is a lot of shooting. I recently shot 450 and when I finished my right hand was feeling it. It was one of the few times when I would rather just hold a glass of bourbon with ice in my right hand then drink it.

Congrats on 2 awesome shooters! Love my Super Carry Pro HD & really looking forward to trying out the Ultra version.
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.
