Kimber TLE/RL II

Alright guys, just got the piece out of lock up and brought it home. Living in Cali sucks! Check out the pics. Yeah.....I completely disassembled it. I am kind of ocd about my firearms. LOL! One thing I noticed right away is mine actually came with a steel MSH unlike the plastic most folks complain about. Let me know which grips you guys prefer. The green VZ's came stock on the pistol, but I wasn't a fan of the color so added the LOK grips. Let the break in period begin. I will post my range results as they go.

I love the feel of the 1911 in my hand........I think I've caught the bug

I hate "Green" on pretty much anything and everything so like you they would have to go. I would save them to put back on if I ever sold the TLE.
No question I like the LOK grips best and almost any color works on the black TLE.

It's not a bug, it's a full blown pandemic. Can't avoid it.

The new grips look great. I have the prior version which came with the black rubber grips. I actually don't mind those, but fashion may win out yet, if you guys keep posting these pics.

What's up Kimber fam! Just got back from the range. Put 100 rds of 230gr FMJ as recommended by Kimber manual. The TLE II ran flawlessly. No FTF. No FTE.
I did notice a little inconsistency with ejection of spent cases; however, they all ejected so nothing to actually complain about. I am very happy how the pistol ran. I will say I did replace the stock spring and guide rod with the Wilson Combat flat wire spring kit. This came with a 17lb. spring and I believe the stock is 16lbs. I am guessing the ejection issue will improve as the spring breaks in. I also was using a Wilson Combat 47d magazine. All I can say thus far is....I love it!
I have included some pics. I'm sure my groups will get tighter with practice. I can't wait to take it out again for the 2nd round of the break in.

shots taken @ 10 yards.

Antman, Looks like a successful range trip. Give it the forum 500 rounds to settle in and see if ejection becomes more consistent, closer to that count. I would think spring and possibly ejector tension, but again, i would wait out some more break-in.

**UPDATE**
what's up Kimber fam! Another 100 rounds thru the TLE/RL II. Once again flawless. No FTE. No FTF. I did notice more consistency in ejection pattern.
200 rounds total thus far. Very pleased.
