Kimber Rimfire Super FTF & FTE

Have put 110 rds. of Federal Auto Match (1200 fps) through it. I stopped keeping score after ~50 FTF and 50 FTE. Using the Kimber mag. that came with the weapon.

Cleaned & oiled the weapon per manual recommendations; perhaps it wasn't wet enough. Will try with more oil next trip to the range.

Does anyone shoot this weapon? If so, have you had any issues with FTF & FTE, and what was the resolution?

TYVM.

I don't have a Kimber .22 handgun but I have the two Kimber .22 conversion kits and found that high speed .22 ammo works best in them. I shoot nothing but 1300 fps + ammo with them.

Guess I'll give some CCI a try; the manual seems to indicate HV, which I would think 1200 fps qualifies.

I have a 5" conversion kit that I shoot on a Team Match (that has about 50k of .45 through it) and have no issues with cheap Federal bulk pack....

Ensure that you are not making any contact with the slide while shooting (i.e. thumbs) since slowing that slide a little bit can cause issue.

TYVM to Chuck and Mike. Will do some further range work and provide progress reports.

It's a really nice gun and like my other Kimbers seems pretty tight.

Would racking the slide a couple hundred times perhaps help? Guess it can't hurt. Thanks again y'all.

When I get a new gun and can't make it to the range I will clean and lube the gun. Then while sitting in front of the TV rack the side hundreds of times. I found doing that for a night or two then breaking down the gun and looking at the rails you can see where they are being honed or polished. Clean and repeat as often as you like, yes I think it helps.

I had to look it up but was going to say that is a nice .22lr Kimber, I guess you could even say top of the line. I saw some used Super's selling for $950 and some NIB starting at $1,200.
I agree and would consider 1,200fps high velocity. I guess it could also be a magazine issue.
