Brass To The Head with Pro CDP II

So after I installed the nifty Wilson flat recoil kit in my Pro CDP II, I perceived a lessening of felt recoil and a bit less muzzle flip.

I also perceived a bunch of hot brass bouncing off my hair, glasses and forehead.

Thoughts?

Have to adjust the extractor for the increased recoil spring tension. Slows the slide down just enough for that extractor to hang on to the case just a little longer.

Yes if you have the tools I posted a video earlier from Wilson Combat on just how to do it. Looked pretty straight forward. The thread is labeled Extractor adjustment.

Check out our "Gunsmith" sub forum, first view the video on "how to check it" then if needed view the video Tom posted on how to adjust it.

Great video. Does a shell to the face mean the extractor is too tight or too lose?

The video shows you if it is to tight or to lose. It shows you how to properly adjust your extractor. Follow the instruction on the video. If you feel your extractor is adjusted properly and you still are having problems with your brass hitting you . You may have other issues.
