Magizine Capacity

Was about to go pick up the CDP Pro.

But just read that the Magazine Capacity is only 7 rounds vs 8 rounds on all the rest of the Pro Series.

Height is the same at 5.25 inches as with all the rest of the Pro Series.

Can someone explain why?

Is this a possible Misprint?

This might be a show stopper.

All my magazines are 8 round Kimpro Tac Mags.

Really don't want to have to purchase more magazines.

Flush fit (factory) mag will only hold 7. You can get an 8 or 10 round mag from other manufacturers, but they will stick out past the bottom of the grip. That's the only difference. Also, if you get some of the Wilson mags that are 8 round, they will probably fit flush because of the way their follower is made. Does one round really make a difference on whether you like a gun or not?

No.

Not really.

Had just really desired to keep everything the same.

My main concern is flush fit.

I really don't even care for the bumper pads that came with the Kimpro Tac Mags.

And I have 23 Kimpro Tac Mags in 8 round Configuration.

Do the followers on the KimPro Tac mags have the contour on the follower or is it flat? If it's contoured, you can probably use the 8 rounders and still have a flush fit. I'll go to the gun room to see of I can find some of them to check for you.

All mine are flat.

Guess I just need to go to the store with one of my mags and see how it looks.

Here are photos of a 7 round tac mag and a 8 round Wilson combat.

Tac mag first. Wilson second. Wilson not quite flush with 8 rounds. Wilson looks like it was designed to be used with a mag well. Front part (you can't see) of bumper is elevated slightly and fits flush. The remainder of the bumper is lower, as if making room for mag well.

Many Thanks!!!

Think I'll probably be looking for some 7 Round Kimpro Tac Mags.

But then again the protrusion shouldn't be a big deal at the gun range.

In addition to what Gator said. Hopefully you will be CC in condition 1 so you would be 7+1 for the regular magazine instead of 8+1 for the ProTac Mag.
I don't like the magazine hanging past the grip when I am carrying concealed so I use the factory magazine in the pistol and carry the 8 round ProTac magazines as spares or extras cause if I have to reload in a defense situation I won't care if the magazine is sticking out past the grip.
