Well....crud!

I noticed tonight that the front night sight on my Custom TLE is deader than a strip club with Hillary Clinton as the guest performer. The pistol is about 10 days shy of 1 year since I bought it. I'm hoping I can just send the slide in, as I have had some minor work done (trigger & hammer) and don't want to hassle about that. I'll be calling them tomorrow morning for a RMA.

Anyone here have any experience with sight issues and returns? I'm just glad it wasn't my Ultra TLE as that's my EDC.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe Kimbers night sights have a 10 year warranty.

I have read that also Chuck. Since Kimbers come with Meprolight sights I looked up their mfg warranty and it's 12 years...

Just got off the phone with Kimber. Nathan, the CS rep, couldn't have been nicer! Turns out he's originally from about 45 miles north of me in Spring. Anyways, they're sending me an RMA and shipping label and I'll just send them the slide to be fixed. They did offer to send the sights to me and have my gunsmith replace them, but I figure I'm better off having the factory do the work.

That's great to hear that they will take care of it LongHorn. It made me wonder about my sights on my UCII Raptor that I bought a few years ago. It was made in 2005, but sat new in a mans safe until I bought it in 2015. Now I just went into a dark closet and checked them out and they do work still, just not as bright as any of my newer Kimbers. Wondering if they have to be all the way out before Kimber would replace them and since it's a 12 year old gun now who knows..

Well, actually, the worst thing is they could make fun of him, insult his family and send nekkid photos of Rosie O'Donnell to him, but saying "no" probably would be the second worst.....

I hope everyone here knows the difference between being "Naked and being Nekkid".

When you're "naked" you have no clothes on.

When you're "nekkid" you have no clothes on and your up to something.

And in her case, I'm gonna guess that "something" she's up to is about 275 lbs......

I just did that and just happened to talk to Nathan also and he ran my serial # and sure as Rosie O'Donnell is fat it was 12 years old and out of the warranty period. He couldn't have been nicer, well he could have by sending me new sights, but I get it. My truck is also a 2005 and one of the headlights went out so I replaced both of them. I wouldn't call Dodge and expect them to cover them right ?

It was worth a shot in the dark, which is funny because soon my sites will be all the way out and then it really will be a "shot in the dark"....
