Range report, Sapphire Pro II

Initial break-in. Temp. 60-65 degrees, no wind, light mist.

100 rds, Fiocchi 147 gr. FMJ; 7 yds., from standing. One FTF on rd. 77; may have been because I didn't tap the back of that mag loading, which I did with all other of the 4 mags.

Don't see how I could ask for better performance than that. Very happy with this Kimber.

Also, it appears to throw most of the cases in a small area; important to me, as I reload.

Mainly concerned about break-in. And yeah, I PULLED that 5 o-clock hit; think the whole range heard my "$#!+". Fortunately there was only one other guy there this morning, and he was on the rifle range.

Thanks for the kind words. Rob Leatham doesn't have anything to fear.

Great shooting! Good pattern...I think you killed it. Have you tried backing up about 7 yards and seeing what your pattern would be? Was just wondering how much the pattern would change.

Good idea; that particular range is about 15 yds. so could do it there. We also run Bullseye competition (not me) so can go 25 and 50 yds.

Thanks guys. That is one sweet shooter, barely any recoil with 147 gr. I suspect she'll be mild as a spring day with 115 gr. stuff.

I originally purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife, but she broke her wrist and is not interested in going to the range. Sooooo, I claimed it. I don't do safe queens.

Her loss.
