Been looking around trying to find an answer
Fired 3 mag of Buffalo Cartridge Co 9mm 124 Grain FMJ.
Buffalo Cartridge Company | BCC00016
1 mag of Federal Hydra Shoc 124 Grain JHP.
While the problem Ammo has been:
Freedom Munitions 9mm Luger 147 gr RN New
Freedom Munitions 9mm 124 gr RN New
Freedom Munitions 9mm 115 gr RN New
So do we have Underpowered ammunition for this firearm.
Or too heavy a recoil spring.
As cousinmark pointed out in another thread:
"Hope things go better? Will be watching for the report.
I wanted to mention that I had originally installed the .38 super Wilson Combat kit in my PRO CDPII 9mm and had a few instances with standard pressure ammo where the slide made it back too soon and caught the spent casing. My pistol had been running 100% with the stock spring though. I went with the Wilson to avoid the 800 round change interval. At that time Wilson<script id="gpt-impl-0.10307878020002931" src="https://securepubads.g.doubleclick.net/gpt/pubads_impl_146.js"></script> did not offer a 9mm spring for the 4" pistols. Once they became available I ordered the 9MM spring and have had zero problems. The spring will work with the other components that came with your kit and runs $12.00 or so. I'd suggest running some tests with the stock rig if you have any problems when using that .38 super spring. Like I say it was a little too strong with the ammo I was using and messed up the timing by a hair. I believe it would be ideal with +P ammo but haven't tested the theory?
Good luck :-)"
Flat-Wire Recoil Spring, 4" Compact / Professional 9mm, Chrome Silicon, 13 Lb on order with Wilson Combat.
