Kimber Warrior - Olight PL2 Valkyrie

Well, I've posted some of these in my intro thread, but for my sake, I'm going to start a thread on this baby since I'm sure it'll evolve as I have it in the future.

I came here a few weeks ago after purchasing a Desert Night Micro .380 for a new carry gun which I absolutely love. After having the .380, I decided I had to have a .45 Kimber, so I found this used Warrior on sale locally for a fair price.

I ordered an Olight PL2 Valkyrie for it since it's going to be my home defense weapon and I picked up two Wilson Combat 47D mags to replace the cheap mag that came with it.

Put the first few rounds though it yesterday and I'm absolutely loving it. Hoping to get to the range this weekend to really put it through its paces.

Next on the list is an Ultra .45, just can't decide which.

Wow, never seen that before, very good looking pistol. Glad that you are happy with your Kimbers, keep us updated on the Micro and the Warrior and other future purchases!

Great looking guns, I really like the grips on the Warrior.

The grips on the old model(like that one) are heavy. I took mine off and replaced with CZ which I think are are the new model Warriors. I like most of the improvements on the new Warrior but they should have put on the ledge sights and got rid of those wedge sights for quicker one handed operation.

Chuck, I have the original "peanut man" grips if you really want a set.

I agree with you on the sights Mike, Kimber only puts them on the 4 Super Carry models, Classic Carry Pro, Warrior SOC and the Desert Warrior. I reported here a couple of years ago about an injury that rendered my left hand useless for a month or so. I was still able to carry and cock my Super Carry Pro on my jeans pocket using the cocking shoulder. If I had my way I'd have those sights on every carry gun I have but Kimber won't sell them.

Thank you for the offer of the grips, I really appreciate it but I'm going to take a pass on them.

Especially on the TLE and Warrior models. Those slope sight do no good. My slides will be going in the mill and getting cut.

Nice looking weapons. I agree in the sights, that cocking shoulder is my desired replacement, especially for my TLE Pro
