Ultra CDP II Ammo

I recently bought a used (1 yr old) CDP II, 3" barrel from a LGS. I took it to the range Sunday with Remington UMC and Aguila 230 FMJ ammo. Loaded 5 rounds of UMC in the magazine; 2 of the first 4 were FTE's. Switched to Aguila and it performed perfectly. Anyone else have a CDP II that's picky? Thanks.

Wink Not Unusual!

The majority of pistols have at least one brand of ammo that they do not like and will not shoot. Yes, there also are the ones that will eat anything that you feed them. Those owners a blessed!!!

If you find your pistol will digest most ammo, be happy. If you have at least one brand of target ammo and one brand of self defense ammo that consistently functions in your pistol, you're good. If more than that works, you are having a good day!! Really picky pistols are not that common.

Experiment and find what your Ultra CDP II likes. If it rejects too many brands, you may have a problem and may wish to talk to the folks in Customer Service. They stand behind what they sell, for sure.

Good luck. Let us know how things work out. Please send pictures of your CDP and a range report when you get the chance!!! Enjoy and be safe!!!

Thanks, Lineman73. I have other ammo to try in it: Winchester, PMC Bronze, American Eagle, Tulammo (steel and bronze case).

Here's a picture of my CDP II package.

Guess I got lucky! My CDP Ultra has functioned 100% on 4 different kinds/brands of ammo.

I haven't run into anything yet that my Ultra CDP II doesn't like.
