Pro reassembly-no tools

So I have the Wilson flat spring setup on my SCPHD. Tool free non fuss takedown is great, but I cannot get it back together without the tool as the spring keeps wanting to shoot out. Any suggestions or is this one of them things I just gotta figure out and it will be OK after that?

My Wilson flat works like a dream W/O tool. I am using it on a pro length CDP and not having problems. I can't understand what you mean about the spring keeps coming out? The front enters the provided bushing and the rear is held at the barrel linkage. Hope you can figure it out cause I love mine.

I can't seem to get the guide rod to go in without the spring wanting to bow out.

You have to hold your hand around the spring to keep it from bowing. Watch the video at the bottom of this page.

Don't take it the wrong way. Lot's of folk get nervous the first time they attempt something new. That's all.

The first time or two are the hardest, it gets easier with a little practice.
