Replace my 9

My carry was Sig P938, P238 & Kimber SS Ultra Carry II. Kimber was the favorite but P938 was easily concealable. Since P938 is now gone, my planned replacement is a Kimber Ultra Aegis II.

Comments and suggestions appreciated

I think the Ultra Aegis will make a fine EDC.

If ya haven't already, find out what SD ammo your Ultra likes..
Some Kimbers are a bit picky with what they eat..

I don't know of anyone that owns an Aegis, but I don't see any problems with it, it's based on Kimbers Ultra line of 1911 and as the owner of one I think they make great carry guns.

Cool Hmmmm!!

I do not recall ever reading a thread from someone complaining about an Aegis pistol. I've seen plenty from folks saying they just bought one and liked it. I don't remember any mentioning sending an Aegis back to Kimber for warranty work either. Some times a lack of bad information is a piece of good information. Check out an Aegis at your LGS. If it fits your paw, you like how it feels and the action, GO FOR IT!!! DARE TO BE GREAT!!!!! Let us know what you decide. If you get it, please send pictures and a range report!!

Enjoy! Be Safe!!

I have some interest in the Aegis also, but would probably prefer a Pro model. Reviews and comments on the Aegis family would be of interest.

I own an Ultra Aegis II and it is a great pistol. I have over 600 rounds down range with zero issues!! It was perfect right out of the box!

Denny, did you find the grip too thin/narrow? Did you have to alter your grip when you change to the other 1911s?

My wife has an Aegis and has no problems. Probably babies it too much, but still, no problems.
