I have bought one set of slim grips and removed them after finding out my hand was too big and they just didn't feel right to me.

Slim grips do not provide me any advantage or disadvantage holding my pistols. If they have the big thumb groove, that helps some in releasing the magazine. (short thumb syndrome)
