Kimber Raptor II night sites-need help.

I recently purchased a used Pro Raptor II and the front night site does not glow at all. The rear site's are really bright though. My question is how long are they warrantied and does anyone know who makes them? Is this something Kimber would cover or should I go directly to the manufacturer? Thanks in advance!!

I believe the sights are made in Israel and they have a 10 year warranty. Your best bet would be to give Kimber's customer service a call.

I'd send it back to Kimber and have them replace the front sight, I have heard stories of some smiths not being able to get the front sight off. If Kimber messes it up, it's on them

They do and even read 12 years on many web sites.

I guess it depends who you talked to at Kimber CS in Montana. I called them last year on my UCII Raptor with a born on date of 2005 and was told that I missed it by two years.

If the manufacturer warranties the night site for that long one would think that Kimber would also since it would cost them nadda for the part...IMO

I have a Gold Combat II made in 2004. My rear sight got really dim in 2011. They replaced my rear sight under warranty and the receipt said that the front was replaced complementary.

The front sight on my SS Raptor stopped glowing. I called customer service and they said they should last 10 years. They replace mine for free, I purchased the gun in December 2015. It never hurts to call them, they may surprise you and replace your sights.

Well there is no such thing as a 5-8 year warranty, it's either 5 or 8 years not 5 to 8 years. Just for the heck of it, call them again. Hopefully you'll get a different service rep and get a different opinion. I'm positive that the sights are warranted for 10 years. It's definitely worth the time to make the call.

Kimber Raptor II night sites-need help.

10-12 years s the Tritium half life. I had a set last 15 years.
It is also dated on the bottom and that might not be the date of the weapon. I bought a set and when I got them, were 2 years old already. Still, should be good a long time.
