Custom Two-Tone

The new Custom Two Tone is in the house. After break in it will become the designated 460 Rowland conversion. I was looking for a good deal on a used pistol found this one new so it became the donor.

Nice score Arland, I'm using the same model for my .460 Rowland conversion.

When I got my Custom back in 2010, two Tone wasn't a California option. I had Robar do the slide.

I'm totally surprised by this Arland.......

Seriously, that is a cool looking 2 tone and the price was too good to pass up. I was looking at ammo for it and it's available, but it ain't cheap. I may get the conversion kit myself one of these days and see for myself how much fun it is to shoot.

Congrats my friend.......#15

The ammo for the .460 Rowland is about the same price as a .44 magnum. You can shoot .44 specials out of a .44 mag to save money and you can shoot .45's out of a .460 Rowland. The .44 mag and .460 Rowland are about equal in power but the .460 is much easier shooting in a 1911. I can rip off 8 aimed .460 rounds faster then someone shooting a 6 shot .44 mag revolver.

Only 14, unless it counts as two due to the conversion.

That is a drawback...ammo prices. Found a lot of hollow points but don't really want to use that for paper target practice.
Before everyone starts, no I don't want to reload at this point in time.

Not been buying very much .44mag ammo either.

With the 5" barrel and a compensator it's a tad lighter then a .45+P but it sure makes a lot of noise and attracts attention on the firing line.
